Question: Repairing Broken Arm Framework on Couch?

The woods frame in both artillery of my sofa is cleaved. The wood panel is cleaved on the inside of each arm. A alpine person was laying on the sofa, their anxiety extended all the way to the arm. My wife and I own a sleeper-sofa. The artillery are made of wood. I of the arms is croaky correct through. The cracked arm did not go through the upholstery.

My husband does furniture repair for a living. It'd be hard to give an estimate without really seeing the repair, simply sounds lite it'd be repairable. He's replaced wooden parts lots of times.
